मुंबई (दि. १३ मार्च २०२४) :- राज्यातील आशा स्वयंसेविकांना राज्य शासनाच्या निधीतून दिल्या जाणाऱ्या 5 हजार रुपयांची वाढ करण्यास मान्यता देण्यात आली. राज्य मंत्रिमंडळाच्या मुख्यमंत्री एकनाथ शिंदे यांच्या अध्यक्षतेखाली आज झालेल्या बैठकीत हा निर्णय घेण्यात आला. राज्यातील सार्वजनिक आरोग्य व्यवस्थे अंतर्गत कार्यरत असलेल्या सुमारे 80 हजार 85 आशा स्वयंसेविकांना या निर्णयामुळे लाभ होणार आहे, अशी माहिती सार्वजनिक आरोग्य मंत्री प्रा. डॉ. तानाजी सावंत यांनी दिली आहे.
आशा स्वयंसेविकांच्या मानधन वाढीसाठी आरोग्य मंत्री डॉ. सावंत आग्रही होते. त्यांनी सातत्याने पाठपुरावा केला. आंदोलनकर्त्या आशा स्वयंसेविकांशी नेहमी सकारात्मक चर्चा करून त्यांचे समाधान केले. आजच्या निर्णयामुळे आरोग्य मंत्री यांच्या सातत्यपूर्ण पाठपुराव्याला यश आले असून आशा स्वयंसेविकांना लाभ मिळाला आहे. मानधनातील ही वाढ नोव्हेंबर, 2023 या महिन्यापासून देण्यात येईल. 2023-24 या आर्थिक वर्षामध्ये नोव्हेंबर 2023 ते मार्च 2024 या कालावधीत वाढीव दराने मानधन देण्यासाठी आवश्यक असलेली 200.21 कोटी इतक्या अतिरिक्त खर्चास मान्यता देण्यात आली. तसेच 961.08 कोटीच्या वार्षिक खर्चास मान्यता देण्यात आली.
मानधन वाढीच्या निर्णयामुळे महाराष्ट्र हे आशा स्वयंसेविकांना सर्वाधिक मानधन देणारे देशातील पहिले राज्य ठरले आहे. राज्यात सन 2007 पासून राष्ट्रीय आरोग्य अभियानांतर्गत आशा स्वयंसेविका योजनेची अंमलबजावणी सुरु आहे. सद्यस्थितीत राज्यात 80 हजार 85 आशा स्वयंसेविका कार्यरत आहेत. या पूर्वी आशा स्वयंसेविकेस 5 हजार रुपये मानधन देण्यात येत होते. त्यांना केंद्र शासन स्तरावरूनही 3 हजार रुपये मानधन दिले जाते. त्यामुळे या निर्णयानंतर आशा स्वयंसेविकांना आता 13 हजार रुपये एकत्रित मानधन मिळणार आहे.
आशा स्वयंसेविकांच्या बऱ्याच दिवसांपासून मानधन वाढीची मागणी होती. त्यासाठी संपही पुकारण्यात आला होता. संपाच्या अनुषंगाने विविध संघटनांचे प्रतिनिधी याचे सोबत मुख्यमंत्री एकनाथ शिंदे, आरोग्य मंत्री डॉ. सावंत, आरोग्य विभागाचे अपर मुख्य सचिव मिलिंद म्हैसकर, आरोग्यसेवा आयुक्त धीरजकुमार, सहसंचालक सुभाष बोरकर यांनी चर्चा केली होती. त्यानुषंगाने मुख्यमंत्री श्री. शिंदे यांनी आजच्या राज्य मंत्रिमंडळाच्या बैठकीत मानधनवाढीस मान्यता दिली आहे.
